Welcome to Designs by Dawn.  I'm a stay at home, homeschool mama to 4 amazing, spirited daughters and a wonderful son-in-law, I'm GiGi to the sweetest grandson you will ever meet, and we have a menagerie of animals which has caused me to have our own family hashtag...#lifeintheark.  My own grandmother instilled in me a love for all things "textile" starting when I was a toddler and she would let me play with her scrap basket.  It's all thanks to her patience and and talents with needle and thread that I have spent my life expressing myself in fabric.  From sewing and designing my own clothes all throughout my school years to creating quilts for friends and family, my love for all things fabric related has been a constant throughout my entire life.  It's been through needle and thread that I've enjoyed being able to continue being home, teaching my girls and caring for our family, even when life has thrown us curveballs.  2020 has certainly been a challenge for everyone!  But I've been so thankful to be able to use my gift with fabric and thread to make fabric face coverings for everyone at a reasonable price... and to make them FUN through a large variety of prints.  It seems as though we will all be sporting face coverings for the foreseeable future, so I figured it was time to convert an old blog of mine into a place to showcase all I have to offer:)  While fabric face coverings are my focus right now, rest assured, there will be lots of other wonderful things popping up here as time allows:)  It's my hope that all who stop by my site, find what they are looking for, even if it's just a peaceful moment during a hectic time.
